Description

An ox yoke composed of a center iron ring attached to an iron loop which runs through a bolt with a washer and nut on the top. The yoke is of a light colored hardwood. Both of the ox bows are present. 131 cm (l) x 14 cm (w) x 60.5 cm (d). As per donor: "Used by Ed Stemler in freighting supplies from Cheyenne and Camp Carlin to Indian Agency, Dakota Territory, 1874."

Permission is granted for ONE TIME NON-EXCLUSIVE USE ONLY. Photographic material may not be re-used without written permission. Contact the Registrar, Wyoming State Museum. A credit line is required and MUST be included with each image reproduced. It must state: "Wyoming State Museum" , "Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources" or the Historic Site at which the object was located. In the case of motion pictures or television, the credit line must be listed at the end of the film or program on the credit frame. The person(s) requesting permission for the use of the photographs will be responsible for the proper credit line. If the image(s) is printed, the publisher must provide the Wyoming State Museum or appropriate Site with a copy of the publication containing the artifact image(s). If the image(s) is used in a motion picture film, filmstrip, video, or slide show, the user must send still photographs or photocopies of the title frame and the frame showing picture credits. Copies or prints of these images may not be deposited or placed on file in any other repository without written permission. Contact the Registrar, Wyoming State Museum. The person ordering the image(s) will be responsible for accurate reproduction. Written permission must be granted for manipulation that alters the image(s) in any way.
