The other steadfast style of book design is guslitskaya adopted its name from Guslitz [place and river] is situated in Podmoskovye [the region neighboring with Moscow city] where in XIX century many talented masters worked on homecraft who developed their own picture [print] and coloring of hand-writing design. Guslitskiy style of design is more typical for Old Believers-popovzy. The ornament of guslitskiy script was stylized as moskovskiy staropechatnyy [Moscow old print]. It has wide leaf blade pattern [design], bright contrast paints, abundance of gold. Extensionality and chiaroscuro was transmitted via hatching.
