A set of four, fully beaded, Sioux horse moccasins. The moccasins are constructed from a circular leather sole sewn to a sloped, semi-cylindrical canvas top. The top contains alternating vertical bands of white with dark blue, yellow and green crosses. The top and bottom borders are of solid white and solid yellow rectangles with dark blue dividers. The top is edged with red wool with dentellium shells and red down drops. There are thong and red wool ties at the back. The soles contain a yellow ground with light blue stepped triangles edged with red. 7 in. (h) x 6.6 in. (w) x 8.25 in. (d). "These are unique and similar in design to horse moccasins of the early horse period," Buck Dawson
