This report gives details on mathematical modeling of a commercial scale TOSCO IT shale retort. Equations were derived that describe the operation of a 9,000 - 11,000 ton-per-day retort - input, output, capital and operating costs, utilities and emissions. These equations were written in the form required by the Materials-Process-Product Model. Many of the constants in the model are estimated because there are no commercial scale TOSCO II retorts. Also included in this report are sample calculations and an equipment list relating to a 50,000 BPD shale oil plant based on TeSCe II technology. Sensitivities of various library values are briefly discussed.
