A two piece Sioux pipe. The first component is a red, cylindrical "T" shaped catlinite bowl with a tapered front. The second part of the pipe is a flattened, rectangular wooden stem with rounded corners, a mouth piece and connecting section. Per donor: "Sioux Indian peace pipe ca. 1888." The measurements of the bowl are: 3.9 in. (h) x 7.07 in. (l) x 1.12 in. (d) and the measurements of the stem are: 18.5 in. (l) x 1 in. (w) x 5/8 in. (d)., This file is derived from an 720 dpi, high-resolution (24-bit color) uncompressed TIFF image, that was scanned from the original slide using a Nikon LS-2000 slide scanner.
